This policy explains what personal information SUN FOR FREE collects when you contact us about solar energy systems, how we use it, who we share it with, and how you can ask us to delete it. It covers our website, our WhatsApp Business channel, our Facebook, Instagram and Google Business Profile pages, and the internal systems we use to record enquiries, prepare quotations and manage our marketing.

SUN FOR FREE supplies and installs solar energy systems in Lebanon. We are responsible for the personal information described in this policy. For privacy matters the responsible contact is Tony Naji El Kara, owner of SUN FOR FREE, reachable at the address and email above.
What personal information we collect
We collect only information that you give us, or that necessarily forms part of a message you send us.
When you message us on WhatsApp
- Your WhatsApp phone number and the display name shown on your account.
- The content of the messages you send us, including any photographs, documents or voice notes you choose to attach.
- The date and time of the messages, so the conversation can be followed.
When you email us
- Your name and email address.
- The message you write, including any project details you give.
When you ask us for a quotation
- Your name and contact details.
- The location or address of the property concerned.
- Your electricity consumption, site details and equipment preferences.
- The quotations we prepare for you and any revisions of them.
We do not buy contact lists, and we do not collect information about you from third parties. We do not ask for payment card details, banking credentials or passwords through WhatsApp or by email, and you should not send them to us that way.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and answer your questions.
- To prepare, revise and send you a quotation.
- To keep a record of our correspondence with you, so that any member of our team can continue the conversation.
- To follow up on a quotation we have sent you.
- To carry out work you engage us for, and to provide after-sales and warranty support.
- To keep proper business, accounting and tax records.
Quotations are reviewed and approved by a person at SUN FOR FREE before they are sent to you. We do not use your information to make automated decisions that produce legal effects for you, and we do not use it for advertising profiling.
We use the WhatsApp Business Platform provided by Meta to receive and send messages. When you message us on WhatsApp, Meta processes that message in order to deliver it, under Meta's own terms and privacy policy.
Messages you send us are recorded in our own system so that we can answer you and prepare your quotation. Our use of WhatsApp is limited to conversations with people who contact SUN FOR FREE, or who have asked us to contact them. We do not send marketing broadcasts to people who have not contacted us, and we do not message on behalf of any other business.
Service providers
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We share it only where it is necessary to operate our business, and only with the following:
- Meta Platforms — to the extent necessary to deliver WhatsApp messages between you and us.
- ngrok — incoming WhatsApp messages reach our system through a secure connection service operated by ngrok. Your message passes through that service in transit before it reaches us.
- OpenAI — our internal assistant uses OpenAI's service to read enquiries and help draft replies and quotations, which a person at SUN FOR FREE reviews before sending.
- Our website and email hosting providers — which operate our website and the mailbox that receives messages sent to our email address.
We may also disclose personal information where we are required to do so by law, or where it is necessary to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim.
Our social media
We publish posts about our completed work on Facebook, Instagram and Google Business Profile. We do not name clients or show identifying details of a client's property without their permission. Messages and comments you send us on these platforms are also processed by Meta or Google under their own terms and privacy policies.
Google services
Our internal marketing tool connects to Google only to manage SUN FOR FREE's own Google Business Profile: publishing posts and photos of our work, keeping our business information accurate, and reading our profile statistics. It does not access any other person's Google data. Information received from Google APIs is used only for these purposes, is not sold or shared, and is handled in line with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Where your information is kept
Enquiry records, correspondence and quotation records are kept on SUN FOR FREE's own computer equipment in Lebanon. They are not hosted on a public website and are not published anywhere.
Security
We limit access to enquiry and quotation records to the people at SUN FOR FREE who need it in order to do their work. Message traffic reaching our system is carried over encrypted connections. No system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and we do not claim that ours is; we take reasonable measures appropriate to the size of our business and the nature of the information.
How long we keep it
SUN FOR FREE keeps customer enquiries, correspondence, quotation records and project and business records for as long as they remain useful for our ongoing business, customer-service, record-keeping and other legitimate operational purposes, such as handling warranty claims and after-sales support, and maintaining a history of the work we have carried out.
Some records may need to be kept where this is necessary for legal, tax, accounting, contractual or dispute-resolution purposes.
Information that we no longer need, and that we are not required to keep, may be deleted or anonymised. You can ask us to delete your information at any time — see below.
Your choices
You may ask us to:
- tell you what information we hold about you;
- correct information that is inaccurate;
- delete your information — see our Data Deletion Instructions;
- stop messaging you. You can also block our number in WhatsApp at any time.
To make any of these requests, email info@sunforfreelb.com. We aim to respond within 30 days.
Children
Our services are directed at property owners and businesses, and are not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we do, we will change the date shown at the top of this page. Please check this page for the current version.
